Jaxon Smith on the lessons of Division 1 wrestling:
"Wrestling at the D1 level has taught me a lot about myself. The biggest thing it has taught me so far is that I am going to get what I put into it. At this level, everyone is good, and everyone is working hard. You have to be purposeful when training and you have to do more than you think you can do. Having the mindset that you are the best, but training like you are second best."
Brandon Wright on the WrightWay Wrestling philosophy:
"I always remind my wrestlers in order to get the most out of yourself in wrestling, you have to love it. You have to be in love with the grind. With social media, kids have a hard time understanding delayed gratification. We promote that patience is power to accomplishing a goal."
On her quick rise to becoming one of the most dominant wrestlers in the nation:
"I think I have come this far with perseverance and hard work. While Covid hit in 2020, it was just my second year as a wrestler and if I had stopped wrestling during that tough year, I wouldn’t have come this far. I started wrestling at least four to five days a week with my high school coach. He set up a wrestling mat in his backyard and it was the best thing to look forward to. I think I also excelled in this sport because I started freestyle right after the folkstyle season of my sophomore year ended. I wrestled every Greco and freestyle tournament there was in my state."
