Wrestling should be accessible to every child, regardless of their financial situation. However, the cost of wrestling shoes can quickly add up, creating a barrier for some families and deterring kids from participating in the sport.
At Ames Wrestling Club, we’re working to change that through the Chain Wrestling Shoe Drive, powered by Ekin Nutrition.
How You Can Help
We’re collecting both new and gently used wrestling shoes for our athletes—and we’re also accepting monetary donations that go directly toward purchasing new shoes.
Our club runs a rental shoe program, allowing wrestlers to borrow shoes for just a $20 refundable deposit. This makes wrestling affordable for every family while ensuring no athlete has to miss out because of cost.
