A native of Bakersfield, California, Miguel is one of the best high school wrestlers in the nation. The three-time California state champ from Frontier High School is a leading middleweight prospect in the country. In 2021, Miguel claimed the 16U folkstyle national title, and later, he committed to the Iowa Hawkeyes as part of the 2024 recruiting class.
